Terms of service.
Effective Date: 10th September 2025
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the services provided by Jack Miller Coffee (“we”, “us”, “our”) to customers booking coffee training sessions (“you”, “your”). By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services Provided
We deliver coffee training to:
Home Baristas: Training sessions for individuals or small groups in a domestic setting.
Professional Establishments: Training for cafés, restaurants, and other businesses on their premises.
The exact format, duration, and content of the training will be agreed at the time of booking.
2. Location & Travel
Training sessions are delivered on-site at your chosen location.
Travel within 30 miles of Aston, Oxfordshire (calculated via shortest route on Google Maps) is included in the session price.
For locations beyond 30 miles, travel is charged at £0.45 per mile (return journey).
3. Equipment & Setup
For home barista sessions, you are responsible for providing access to your equipment (espresso machine, grinder, brewing tools, etc.) unless otherwise agreed in advance.
For professional establishments, we will work with your existing setup unless we have agreed to bring additional training equipment.
Please ensure there is safe access, a suitable working environment, and all equipment is in working order before the session begins.
4. Pricing & Payment
Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and are payable by bank transfer, card payment, or other agreed method.
Full payment is due at time of booking or at the latest, one day before the session is due to run.
Travel charges (if applicable) will be added to the final invoice.
5. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Customer Cancellation:
Cancellations made more than 7 days before the scheduled session will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before the session will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session are non-refundable.
Rescheduling: We will make every effort to reschedule sessions where possible, subject to availability.
Our Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule in the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness, severe weather). In this case, you will be offered a full refund or a new date.
6. Health & Safety
You are responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for the session. We reserve the right to stop training if unsafe conditions are present (e.g. faulty equipment, hazards on site).
7. Liability
We have public liability insurance and take care to provide safe and professional training. However:
We are not responsible for damage to your equipment during normal use in training sessions.
We are not liable for any injuries sustained during training unless caused by our negligence.
Our total liability is limited to the value of the training session purchased.
8. Intellectual Property
Any training materials, resources, or handouts provided are for your personal or internal business use only and may not be copied, distributed, or resold without our written consent.
9. Data Protection
We will collect and store your contact details solely for the purpose of delivering training and related services. We will never share your data with third parties without your consent, except where legally required.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
